Subject Tutoring with Lesson Planning includes materials and activities tailored to each client based on their skill level and individualized needs. These materials and activities can be supplementary to instruction in school or can be on a subject not covered in school. Examples include lessons built around a student’s interest in science fiction in order to prepare them for future language arts classes and lessons reviewing math concepts learned the previous year.

Content instruction, practice testing, and strategies for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, GED, and LSAT

We assist the student in creating a list of colleges and preparing application materials. This includes support in determining what types of schools and/or degree programs may be a good fit for the student’s interests and desires as well as instruction on how to write an outstanding personal essay.

Academic coaching includes help developing personalized plans for managing academics, extracurricular activities, and other commitments and a toolkit for successful study habits. In addition to support creating and maintaining the personalized plan, Academic coaching covers ways to address motivation, attention, and avoidance. Tutors will help model the application of the personalized plan through assistance with test preparation and homework.
